RT-615 is pretty long in the tooth. I suspect you will be disappointed with them if you're are accustomed to the stock tires.

STI deserves decent rubber if you can afford it. I'd look at any of the top tier extreme summer performance tires listed here:

I'm running 225/45/17 Kumho Ecsta XS all year long. XS has the most dry grip of all, but at the cost of some wet performance. They are a decent tire in the rain if you aren't driving like a madman. All of these tires are great for autox but Star specs, RE-11 and XS seem to be big track favorites this year. I drive XS all year long up here in norcal: they are a natural for you in socal unless you head to the mountains in winter.
