What are the differances with the Brembo caliper, and the Subaru 2 pot caliper? Just the Caliper its self? I don't think there are any differance at all other than the Subaru/Brembo sticker.

If there are no differances between the calipers and they are the same (other than brand), the WRX rotor would fine since he would be using the WRX hub, and backing plate. I think the STi backing plate is taller than the WRX plate, that is why it can use larger rotors. It makes the caliper sit up higher. If he uses the smaller 06 WRX backing plate, it will place the Brembo caliper in the same position as the Subaru 2 pot which will allow for the smaller rotor.

I have the 06 rear hub, backing plate, 2 pot caliper and 06 rotor on my 98 Legacy. It fit fine with no problems at all.
