Are the circled hoses suppose to be hooked up?

not to thread jack or anything, but after looking at this stock setup i've realized. What do people do with aftermarket fuel rails when venting the valve off the evaporation pipe?
Aftermarket fuel rails would delete that evaporation pipe (the bottom pipe on the stock fuel rails Part C in the diagram) and would keep the blue nipple exposed. The only reason i ask is because i have aftermarket fuel rails coming and have been wondering where to vent that off to. Do you just use an extended hose?
