So I left the heatshield off in hopes that next time it started smoking I could better identify where the smoke was coming from.

Today it's been raining and sure enough, when it rains it smokes.

I believe that there may be a film of oil seeping around where the turbine assembly is pressed against turbine housing (intake side). I guess perhaps there's a gasket there that's failed?
