I missed that part earlier. If your school has automotive engineering classes, take those, and whatever pre-requisites go along with them. Off the top of my head:
Math, at least introductory calculus.
Chemistry and physics, at least the 100-level stuff.
Some programming classes will help you understand what's going on inside the ECU.
Logic classes might be in the philosophy or math department, consider both.
Economics, micro, macro, balance sheets, amortization, stuff you'll want to understand if you want to run a business or work at a small one (same thing really).
