i never knew avon was that prominent motorsport given the reputation of their m500 and m550 that were once sold by tirerack.
Avon's formula car/sports racer slicks are nearly if not as fast as the purple crack here in the US. They just don't have a contingency program compared to Hoosier so noone runs them. I ran them on the FC for a while and thought they were very good. Just a different setup from Hoosier.
I imagine they'd do a very good job for formula one.
I just would like to see a set of rock hard tires that is consistent for just over 40% of a race with a very narrow and peaky zone of optimal adhesion. It'll force two stops, delineate the faster guys in the corners and greatly increase the braking zones so we might see some more overtaking.
