well, no time for porting, maybe another day.
got it on, though it took me 2hrs to get one of the turbine-to-uppipe nuts off...actually stripped the stud and had to re-tap it. maybe when I have some time, I’ll pull the turbo, and make all the necessary portings to help it breath, and replace the stud.
I did make note though, the uppipe gasket is much larger in diameter of the uppipe or turbin inlet. not sure if this is normal, or if this is just a larger-than-stock gasket.
I need to get an air-oil separator on this car. I am not a subaru guru, but there was a bit of oil film on the turbo inlet when I took the stock td04 off yesterday. It seems to be much worse than any other time I have had the turbo off. Once I get that done, I’ll clean the whole system using the new SeaFoam spray. great stuff.
