Id like to keep the car a manual if possible, but the rear diff is going (binding up on tight turns after highway driving) So if its not possible to use the rer diff off the auto with the manual trasmission ill consider swapping the engine, auto tranny, and rear diff, etc. Does this make sense?
an engine only swap is worlds easier than an engine AND trans swap, plus when going to auto you need the shifter,
all the electronics, and different mounting hardware under the transmission etc...
the only way it makes sense is if you want
tbh the motor's should 100% the same if they are dohc
just do a motor swap and fix your rear diff less work and less headaches
