Mine had a bad squeak in my G35 that was the spring in the clutch pedal assembly. I'd guess with a clicking it's the spring binding or popping.

I remedied it by using some lithium grease on the spring and working it into all the nooks and crannies.

For a truly rewarding experience, remove the spring entirely.

Doing this gave me the old school clutch feel back on the G and it was much easier to feel the engagement point.
