To be honest, no short shift "kit" has ever gained much steam on our forum other than the TRD, which is literally IDENTICAL to the 93+ OE shifter, and '93 shifters are pretty readily available and cheap, so I can't really speak for many of the aftermarket options.

You can get a factory '93 shift lever from here for under $30. TwosRUs can also set you up with aluminum shifter base bushings, which I can say from experience really do improve the feel of a cable-linked shifter. And they sell the shifter drop plate (pictured in your kit) from the original design source (Bill Strong of Racing Strong Engineering, owner of MR2OC), if you decide you need it. Not sure what the cost of your complete kit is, but I'd bet you can do better by using parts from TwosRUs with a genuine Toyota late model lever.
