I think what you are referring to is to the old style pipework.
When making the installation there is a stabelizer bar held in by two bolts which will be stoping the pipe from sitting higher. Undo these. Knock the bolts out and put
them back upside down so they face up over with the nuts on the top rather than facing the bottom. The pipework when installed properly does not sit down below the bed level.
The manufacturers won't make a change inside a few days more like a couple of months even if they want to do that.
Bring your car to our workshop in Darlington and we will do whatever it takes which will not be very much so you can fit sump guards or under braces or whatever else it is you want to put on.
