The last time I went down an unmaintained dirt road in my OBS the sound of the brush hitting the undercarriage of my car was unnerving.
I had a Rallitek plate on my 05 LGT (which I believe is the exact same plate as the 08 Impreza) and the fitment was absolutely horrible. The holes weren't lined up and the rear brackets where it bolted to the crossmember was an absolutely stupid design. I even emailed them and told them it was the worst overall aftermarket part I have ever purchased. Once I was able to get the stupid thing on, it did a good job of protecting things down there. Changing my oil was a real pain in the ass because it had to come off every time and I had to deal with the same headache of putting it back on.
I also had the Primitive plate on my 02 WRX and it was great. WAY thicker than the Rallitek plate, MUCH better fitment/design, and it kept crap out of the engine bay just as good as the Rallitek plate with the side panels. Even though they were different applications, I was much happier with Primitive's product. I'd definitely recommend the Primitive plate over the Rallitek crap.
