The GT3076R needed about 20% to hit 1.2 bar. On the GTX it was needing 22%. I know its only 2%, but it shows that the wastegate had to dump more exhaust pressure to control boost. Meaning more air flow was coming from the turbo.
I am a stickler for accuracy, so don't take this as an insult.
If the GTX turbo needed more WGDC to hit target, that means it was dumping less exhaust pressure to control boost. Higher WGDC means the WG is opening less, and more air is going past the turbine.
I theorize that the slightly bigger comp wheel (physically, not in lbs/min) requires a little more exhaust energy to spin.
