As much as I wish we could get new bumpers out of it, I doubt that would ever happen. The best one could really hope for is that the issue is addressed in next year's model.
It's my fault for pulling up really close to a snow bank. I was in a parking lot that had recently been plowed with almost no spaces left, so I took a space that was half full of plowed snow and pulled forward so my tail wasn't sticking out. I bumped the snow, but after a quick check of the front, everything looked fine. Didn't notice the crack until washing the car. The case is that the cracks and whatnot doesn't happen by itself. Yes, it's very fragile, especially for a piece of your car called the bumper, but I'll just take it as a lesson learned, repair mine when I do my oil this weekend and be a lot more careful next time.
