Does anyone know if the outboard CV joints on the Spec B axles are the same as STI CVs, or WRX CVs, or are they unique? And of course what I'm really wondering is, how do they all stack up in terms of strength?

Or what about the axle shafts themselves? How do Spec B shafts compare to WRX or STI shafts?

I have a couple of R160 axles that I'm tempted to upgrade this way so I can use them as spares for my 6MT setup. But on the other hand I'm also wondering how much strength I'd be giving up (if any?), as compared to the Spec B axles I'm running now, or STI axles with the outboard ends swapped out to mate to my 5x100 hubs (the opposite of this thread, basically).

If anyone knows what's up, I'd love to hear about it.
