Of course it's better to wait overnight for paint to cure
The paint won't cure in 10min. If you want to cure it put it at about 200degrees for 30-40min opened up. this is not necessary though if your lights are sealed. And if you paint without scuffing or priming make sure you do very light coats or it will run super easy since the surface is almost like glass your painting.
