Parts are hard to find and they are scattered all over the country. Fuel pump from NAPA is in Georgia. Fuel pump from dealer is from out of state. There is a Subaru junkyard right in Waterbury, so I'm sure I can find some cheap useful stuff there.

It is a boxer engine. It's an OHV 1.8 Carb'd horizontally opposed 4 cylinder. No timing belts, or fuel injection. This engine is about as simple as it comes.

It is 4WD. It comes with a 4 speed manual transmission. It has selectable FWD and dual range 4WD (High range and low range).

Yes, that algae was a PITA to scrub off.

I replaced the battery terminals because they were shot to kingdom come.

Took all of the interior apart this morning but I have to be into work in a few so I won't have pics until later. It's coming together nicely so far.
