As I installed Defi gauges I cannot attest to the "sandwich" adapters. I have read many times that they can be prone to leaking but again I am not personally experienced.

Had I not had the Defi gauge with the correct fitting I still would have purchased a galley plug and ran it that way. I would not want to add the ability for a sandwich to fail when you can get a direct reading off of the block.
