I do belive that an MRT setup seems to be ideal at first glance. It is a straight shot basiclly. The thing I always end up thinking is " Look at cusco and syms headers. They seem to have LOTS of bends but they work really well."
I know it is a turbo design, but if the bends there don't really hurt performance, why would cobb's bends that so detremental to performance?
P.S. Once you do get to this level of NA mods ( heads, cams, headers) It would be best to go with some type of management system, if only fuel OR timing, but both would be best.
