Most of the ls motors are made in Canada or Australia bud. Just cause it's in an American car. Also it does not mater how well it's made and put together with the heat and pressure you get from turbo cars causes failures with gaskets. Sleeves and so on. An ls motor would simply not have to work as hard to create same hp as a "gay" 1.3l
I have owned and built turbo cars and na you simply don't have to worry about lag and a narrow rpm band. With turbo cars you will have more moving parts which will wear or break
I enjoy the rotary I owned an fd and I loved it but I would not put a rotary in a car which already is interchangeable with an amazing engine.
