No room for AWD or a turbo, but possibly room for an EJ20/25.
It's purpose-built and makes more sense for Subaru to have a piece of the profit from their own engineering instead of letting Toyota be the sole benefactor.
It's not meant to replace your WRX/STI. You're missing the point if you believe that. If you guys support this car then there's a strong possibilty that we'll see a return of RWD, front-engined JDM vehicles.
Also, this is Subaru's 2nd RWD car and it's only been about 16 years since Subaru has been all AWD in their line-up.
Be enthusiasts, not purists.
