Looking into swapping my tried 2.2 Impreza motor out of the Legacy and replacing with a 2.5 DOHC. Donor car is 96 legacy outback.

1. Is it worth doing, meaning will the electrical plug and play?

2. Would I have to remove the 2.5 harness from the donor car?

3. Read about phase 1 and phase 2, what is that and would that
have a part in what I am trying to do?

4. Thanks for any advice or help.
