Man the Viper gets a lot of hate on these forums I've noticed. I've had a love for the viper since I first saw it. Just raw power and simplicity, and at a great price. I absolutely love the look of it (esp the late 90's) which also seems to puts me in the minority. They are pretty rare in my area (I see more Ferrari's and Maserati's, etc) so whenever I see one it really stands out. I've put it on my bucket list of cars to own. I'd choose this over a comparably priced Corvette any day.
Those were the best looking Vipers in my opinion. My only beef with them is the super-long gearing (which meant that the car didn't quite perform as the engine specs might make one think) and the interior quality of the car. Some people claim that it is a strength of the car, but as it is presented (cheap-plastic and uninspired design), it isn't.
There is a way of presenting barebones without looking cheap, and I'm not sure that many have figured out how to do that yet.
