I still take Motor Trend's words with a grain of salt. Remember, Toyota pays them plenty of $$$ for advertising.

Edit to add: Car and Driver got 0-60 in 6.5 and 1/4 mile at 14.9 @ 97mph. That is not exactly slow for a big sedan that is not meant to be all that sporty
I can agree with this having driven the Kia Optima Turbo (essentially the same car). From a roll the Optima T is faster than I even remember my LGT 5MT being. I was extremely impressed.
