I got about 1400 miles now on my 2012 Sport Premium. Did a number of MPG estimates. I got 22-23mpg driving quasi aggressively 70+ mph (approx 120 miles/day, 90 of which are hwy) Then I got 25-27 during the same commute by changing driving style slightly and abusing the cruise control. (65+ mph vice 70+) I just cant drive too much slower than that without being annoyed. I'll give it a good shot at a slightly slower speed in a few weeks.
I have a 95 legacy wagon that i'm keeping alive that gets almost as good mpg as this thing and i'm not very happy with this. It's a good car so far and it's nice to drive around in a brand new ride but I expected more from the watered down engine, reduced weight, and cvt. Hopefully the whole "engine break-in" idea actually works out an I get better efficiency. Not expecting much though. I still dont get how breaking in an engine improves mileage. It should run to spec right out of the box, but this is merely an unsupported opinion.
