Living in Vermont driving mostly 'city' and I'm getting around 23mpg.
When I throw in the highway it jumps up but the trip from Connecticut to Vermont I only got 29mpg. It's difficult with all the hills to go up too. I had to turn off the MPG counter and especially the active count - I was getting too annoyed watching it drop to 12mpg going up hills.
It's lower then I hoped but it's on par with my previous car and that was my big concern.
I think in my case a mix of hilly highway + getting used to how the car drives compared to my 2000 Honda Civic is a big factor.
