from what i understand if it is unlocked or "loser" you get better traction but sacrifice the the horsepower getting to the wheels it slips more and transfers power to wheels that are getting good traction while it is locked well its locked and all four will spin at the same rate
thats my understanding of the system
the only thing dccd does is give you the option to do it manually instead of the car doing it
So basically in the unlocked setting it looks at the front and rear diffrentials and gives them different amounts of power where needed and if it is locked it's splitting it the same no matter what??

Now in the wrx is it allwase locked? Or unlocked?

Also does the sti have lsd front and rear and the wrx have open in both? Is that correct?
