Is it generally more accurate to use the sandwich adaptor or the galley plugs?
Sandwich adapters are prone to leakage.

The oil galley under the alternator has the OEM Oil Pressure switch in it. There is no drawbacks to removing it, no CELs etc.

There is a second oil galley under the TMIC with nothing in it but a plug. That is the go-to spot for the first gauge.

You can use both these galleys without issue.

You can mount 2 senders in one with a T, however, remotely mounting an oil temp gauge isnt recommended, since it should be in flowing oil, and a T would put it at a dead end.
