I bought my '02 new when the Bugeye's first came out. Used conventional for the first 10,000 miles, then moved on to synthetic. Been on Rotella T6 for last 50,000 miles or so. It is the way to go. I still change it often though….no 6500 mile oil change intervals for me.

The notion that synthetics got too hot is absurd, they have far better heat soak properties than conventional oils and far superior shear protection capabilities.

There are literally volumes already written here in NASIOC on oil. Do yourself a favor and spend some time reading/searching. Educate yourself.
