it matters not...those are the 2 worst choices you could make

dont run it too long and keep an eye on the level as these engines drink that **** like water

and if you wait for mobil1 to go on sale...you can get the 0w40 or the 5w40 'truck and suv' for the same price as the others...but it is good oil that wont shear to nothing in 500 miles


many use the 5w40 Rotella T6---in the blue jug with excellent results as well as the 0w30 'german' Castrol synthetic....it can be hard to find in some places

these are the 'best bet' most commonly available, inexpensive, oils you can likely find at any walmart(not the castrol) or autozone

i'd run any of the above oils to a 5k mile(or longer, maybe) OCI without hesitation

some of the 'boutique' ester based oils just arent cost effective at oil change intervals that we usually run......and really dont offer any real advantage over the other oils at shorter OCI's
