I will admit though that the 3.6R may be worth a test drive. However, I just had the WONDERfUL experience of driving a brand spanking new 2012(2013?) 335i sedan. WOW. What a car.
When the 2010 Legacy GT lost amenities and got blander looking, compared to the 2009, let alone the Spec.B I knew it was a matter of time. With as limited production as the Legacy GT was... it could have been a Spec.B or near-STI level car for sport sedan enthusiasts, but it wasn't cast as such. The die was cast.
When the 2011/2012 Legacy GT became factory-order only, when it was previously VERY difficult to find in-stock, I knew the time was getting closer.
The time has happened, the Legacy GT is gone. It is sad, but it is not at all surprising.
Forester XT is a shadow of what it should be, anyway, and I wouldn't be surprised if it is on borrowed time, as well, as the EJ Turbo gets phased out trailing the EJ atmospheric engines being put to bed now. Whether that means a revamped FXT FA/FB based turbo engine in the future, or an EZ-based engine in the future, I don't know.
The next WRX and WRX STI had better be damn good, because they stand as the last option for Subaru AWD performance.
