What's so frustrating about it is the rest of the world never got the rolly-polly suspension, or the idiotic roof bars and they always had the seat memory, rear A/C ducts and H.I.D headlights(but I also think it should have them also).
Explain to me why the Forester Limited gets H.I.D.s while the Outback does not? Who was the marketing genius product planner that came up with that?
Cost cost cost. People were/are willing to pay more for the Touring Forester for the extras it has and they were able to justify HIDs on that one; and it still comes in less than an Outback(if just barely). Start putting all that on the Outback and the price would have put it out of competition. Let's see how much the price increases for the Limiteds now that there are memory seats, and the rear A/C vents.
