Exactly, but it's the urber performance version that people keep asking to return, not the very good, basic, and affordable cars that made them iconic in the first place. At least Nissan realized that when the brought the Z back to market. Mazda went another direction and brought the Miata to market as a brand new model.
Toyota has been floundering but I think the FT96 may finally get Toyota back into the game.
I'd also like to see Toyota bring back the SR-5 versions of the Corolla with a true sporting setup and not just a few badges. Put a high reving 4 in there and forget getting it to handle like the appliance version to apease everyone.
