In a simple answer it could be like this:
My car was dyno'd at 300 HP/340 TQ on a mustang dyno at EFI. I could have went to another mustang dyno the same day at a different shop and got 303 HP/345 TQ. The mustang dyno's can be considered the most accurate of them all in terms of how close they are to the actual power of the car but can vary for shop to shop.
Being said I could have gone on a dynojet the same day and got 325 HP/370TQ or logged the dyno pull on my AP and went on virtual dyno software and get 340HP/380TQ. The other dynos can read up to 10% higher than a Mustang.
They are all just numbers and at first all I cared about was the number but you find a tuner that respects you and your car and takes in your consideration when doing the tune. I'm happy with the numbers I got but more happy with the type of tune I got.
So to finalize, I would take most Mustang dyno numbers as true to the real thing as you can get. There will be much debate on this but that is my humble opinion on the dyno talk.
