Default Installed new turbo inlet hose, BPV is very quiet

Before I installed the Perrin turbo inlet, my setup was stock inlet hose with Cobb SF intake and air box, catted turbo back exhaust, Cobb stage 2 tune. The BPV noise was pretty loud, as many of you know. The BPV gasket was replaced with a new one the last time I had it off, which was about 3 months ago.

Just installed the Perrin turbo inlet, double checked all connections, the turbo spool is a little louder but the BPV noise upon letting off the gas at low boost and below is almost non-existant, it's very quiet. At high boost it's back to being a loud whoosh. Is this normal? Does the new larger inside diameter hose cause this?
