Hey i have been following this thread and others like it for some time now but have had trouble finding answers to the one question i keep asking myself. Is there any advantage of building a hybrid ej257/207 over building a full ej257? I figured the cost of building a 257 would be higher since the 2.5l may be more desirable amoungst tuners.
The reason i ask is because like most people on NASIOC i love my subi and plan on making it a track car when i graduate an Engineer. As of now i have an ej255 (same bottom end architecture as the ej257). Right now im looking for the most affordable and reliable head/block combo. My goal is to eventually make 475-525WHP using either a gt30 or gt35 to compete in regional autox and time attack events.
