I know, by frequently checking your oil level, that low pressure light can be avoided. But is it a problem to need to check it that often?
I'm hoping that my car doesn't consume oil like that. But if it does, you can bet that I'd be carrying a quart of oil with me at all times, and probably checking my dipstick at each gas-up or so.
For starters you can perform a compression test and examine the Plugs.
Since people are finding that there are 2 dip types of dipsticks and 1 measures too high at full Look back and find the post were 79 tells the dealership that they overfilled his car and had some of the oil removed. He was starting low when he drove from the dealership. He might be burning a little oil but not as much as he thinks. A little oil is normal.
Maybe the dealerships are filling to the fill line for other peoples cars and causing them to run low also. Im sure it will get fixed in time
