So I go online and do some research, turns out there's a module behind the hazards button in the center of the dash that sometimes needs the contacts cleaned and distance adjusted. I pulled it out, cleaned the contacts on the turn signal, and increased the distance between the contacts, popped it back in, and now it works just fine.
Total labor 15 minutes, parts $0.
But techs know everything right?

Good techs that go to training will, and that hazard switch is a common failure item... I'm surprised they didn't start there... I would have.
Just wait till that thing starts chirping, because it will lol.
The reviews of the shop must not be very good and technically if they charged you that and didn't fix the problem you don't have to pay it according to a certain law
