I spent $50 for Fairway Subaru to "diagnose" an ABS issue (the ABS motor would engage sometimes during a slow speed stop). I couldn't get any ABS codes to show so I gave in an took it to them. They tell me I need to replace the whole solenoid/ motor assy for around $500 I believe. Turns out an axle nut had backed off and the distance to the tone ring was fluctuating and causing the ABS problem. Hooray dealership
Well in all fairness to the dealership, that part would have been replaced and tightened when they did their work and fixed your problem.
