You were talking about running 28-30 psi that is just a lot for a stock sleeve if your looking for reliability. Not saying your builder or tuner isn't good or that your motor can't handle it but the question is for how long can it handle it.
I understand your concerns about cracking and/or oval a sleeve but I take every precaution to keep that from happening...
Stock bore size pistons so the stock sleeves are as big as possible
SwainTech coated pistons to prevent piston expansion from heat and keeps tighter tolerances between piston-to-sleeve
I daily drive my sti and drive around town on 21psi which is babying the block, then I can use my SI-Drive button to switch from Sport(21psi) to Sport Sharp(28psi) when I go to the track or highway race, so the amount of time I am actually @ 28 is very minimal...
