I might think about changing the coolant out. Just like oil, you should change your coolant, not every 3-5k, but usually either 30-60k is recommended by the manufacturer and the ones that say 100k... I don't really believe. Just like I wont recommend that you change your oil every 7500mi which is what most new vehicles state in the owners manual, maybe with synthetic... This all comes down to Cost of Ownership when comparing cars. The less that the manufacturer recommends to do, the less the cost of ownership is on paper for those who look at that when they buy new cars.
