I'm pretty sure the DP will just bolt right up from 02-07. I lent my '07 stock DP to a local with an '05 STI to pass emissions and it bolted up to his car with no issues.
Also, I just posted this in ProfessWRX's thread which is very similar to yours...
I was looking for a good turbo upgrade to get me to the 300whp range since Stage 2 wasn't cutting it for me @ 5200ft above sea level. After doing my research and talking to my tuner I ended up with the following setup
- COBB 3" catted TBE
- Perrin turbo inlet
- SPT intake
- Walbro 255 fuel pump
- DW 750cc injectors
- Grimmspeed 3 port EBCS
- STI TMIC & Splitter/bellows (2007)
- VF48 (off a 2012 w/10k miles)
- COBB Accessport with custom dyno tunes for 19psi / 17psi / 15psi
While I could have hit 300whp with a "lesser" setup I wanted to get it right the first time.
I would definitely upgrade the fuel pump with the turbo upgrade. The whole install takes like 30 minutes. I had never messed with a fuel pump in my life before installing the Walbro and I still found it to be a breeze.
