Mods we don't even know he will do to an unknown extent, and the possibility of a fix which most likely wasn't done, and if it was done at least is not permanently blemishing the vehicles record. Sounds like a perfectly reasonable basis for an argument. /sarcasm
I get your point, but those things are non issues (if they do exist) and are uniform across both scenarios. The mod argument applies to option #2 as well. And in that case, there is an even greater opportunity cost given the longer warranty.
