To poison and other more "expert" than I. Recently (9 days ago) moved to Alabama from Ohio (ya, both are sucky, but the wife keeps getting incredible offers from universities to do research) and I have started getting odd patterns in my puck and the coffee tastes different. Does this look like channeling to you?
And, if so, how do I fix it? Finer grind? Coarser grind? Darker roast? Lighter roast?
To remind, I am roasting in basically an air-popper and grinding with a commercial Rancilio MD-50 and brewing with the cheapest Gaggia from WholeLatteLove.
