Where is an STI owner going get EXTRA-S? Can't buy it it in quarts, they come in 5 gallon containers.
Why should an STI owner have to look else where other than the dealership if he wants EXTRA-S just because the dealerships don't stock it. Shouldn't SOA force the dealerships to sell stuff that's required in the manual?
I was just stating that just because the manual say "X" should be use, doesn't mean that the dealership will use "X" stated by the manual, which is ironic.
You're still not getting the point. Subaru recommends any fluid with a gl5 rating or better for the trans I believe. The manual states that not car must take what it came with from the factory. So now play parts manager. Do I wanna stock fluid that comes in quarts or do I wanna stock something that comes in a 5 gallon container that's going to take up room and you gotta pump it out when you need fluid. Make more sense now? Instead of bitching about Subaru bitch about who ever makes extra-s. if they distributed on quarts or liters I'm sure most dealers would stock it.
