FWIW, Tom says he has seen his EGT gauge peg 2000F before. That's in the 'bright to light yellow' category. I think that is well within the auto white balance errors of most cell phone cameras coupled with horrid JPEG compression...

OMG, that is unpossible. How can a steel pipe get so hot as to 'appear' white via a ****ty camera?
