That's because his retirement now would not be the same as his retirement from years ago - it's two (or three) separate episodes. And I agree with REX8 that Kubica will without a doubt be back in an F1 car again. Whether he'll make it back to the grid remains to be seen, but I'm certain that some team (if not multiple teams) will give him a shot.
