I just put my 225/45/17 Azenis on... 200km on them, and this morning was the first drive in the rain. Having driven a few 'r' compound tires over the years here are my inital thoughts.
In the wet these tires really stick... wet, not standing water, but that is something you have to expect in an extreme performance tire with minimal tread. The wet drive reminded me of my old yoko 008rsII... good in the wet, but if you see a puddle, set the car up and skip across the surface of it.
I will have a better handle on the tires tomorrow as I am heading out for the first track day of the year!
