Most of the time, I slip the clutch gradually. RPM is usually around 3000 to 3500. Pop doesn't happen when I launch this way but I also don't feel it goes as fast.
The pop admittedly happens mostly when I release the clutch a little too quickly, or accidentally step off.
The pop happens 100% of the time when I use launch control - hehe. Bad, I know, especially on stock trans but it's hard to resist sometimes.
If I upgrade the engine and tranny mounts, how different are the Group N mounts vs. metal mounts (Megan Racing, Torque Solutions, etc)?
