I agree with this. In something performance-oriented, the manual makes sense. Having driven the newer Outback, Legacy and Impreza (and owned a Forester Sports XT with 5-speed), I can say that a CVT really does complete the package with those cars for their purposes. If you want more control, get the WRX, STI or BRZ or older turbocharged variants of the Outback, Legacy and Forester with manuals.
